Akshay Kumar is out, Priyanka Chopra is in!The popular entertainment channel, Colors, reported to have signed in our Desi Gal Priyanka Chopra, as the new host of the reality show - Fear Factor. Replacing Akshay Kumar, the actress will host the show’s new IPL special edition which will include 13 Indian and international cricketers as its contestants.
It is said that Adam Gilchrist, Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh and Brett Lee are among the cricketers list.
Priyanka who is an ardent follower of the show, is quite happy with the offer and excitedly looking forward to be part of it. The actress had stated to sources, “Unlike Akshay who encouraged the girls on the show, I’m going to scare the cricketers. I want to see the masters of the field perform tough stunts in my show. They’ll have to compete with me as I’m someone who does her own stunts. Besides, I’ve participated in adventure sports.”
The special edition is reported to take off once the IPL season gets over. Said Ashvini Yardi, the programming head of the channel, “Akshay took this show to great heights with his inimitable style. So far you people had seen 13 haseenayein with ek khiladi. This season, get ready to witness 13 cricketing khiladis and ek haseena.”
